Condolences

Condolence From: Gary Richmond and James Sullivan
Condolence: Every time James and/or I enter the courtyard of the building in Greenwich Village where Susan was our neighbor and friend, we can't help but think of her: fondly but also sadly. This was often the place we'd meet and chat with her, sometimes at length, although not infrequently she'd be on the phone trying to work something out for her or Peppy, some insurance matter, or Access-a-Ride, or a doctor's visit. Mainly, we miss her warmth, her humor her feistiness, her intelligence--and much more. We miss her very much.

Condolence From: William Castiblanco
Condolence: I knew Susan for many years, she was a brilliant person with an amazing sense of humor and wit, she was very self efficient and capable of doing anything. I was very fond of her and we had very nice conversations, may she rest of n peace. My deepest condolences to the family!!!

Condolence From: Gary Richmond and James Sullivan
Condolence: James and I were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Susan, a neighbor-friend in Greenwich Village whom we knew for decades. Susan was in every way a remarkable person, intelligent, energetic, engaging, strong, compassionate, and possessing a wonderful sense of humor. It was always a delight and often quite intellectually stimulating to talk with in the 23 Waverly Place courtyard or in Washington Square Park; or to run into her at a concert or lecture. She had what we used to refer to as "a brilliant career." Susan loved New York City and especially the Village. We will miss her very much.

Condolence From: Bruce & Nancy Spidell
Condolence: Susan was very generous in allowing Rick's friends to hang out at her house all the time, even though I'm sure we were often annoying teenagers. I have fond memories of Susan and of her residence in the 1970's, 80 Chatham Street.

Condolence: Rick: So very sorry to hear about your mom's passing. In reading her obituary I can see what a fascinating woman she was. A wise man once told me "a person never dies as long as they are not forgotten." You and your family are in our prayers at this difficult time.
