Rose Theresa Bewighouse, 95, a long time resident of Rutherford passed away at home Tuesday, October 1st, 2019 surrounded by her family.
She was born in New York City to Walter Reardon and Jennie (Gentillala) Reardon. She graduated in NYC from Cathedral H.S. in 1941.

Rose married the love of her life Bob and together they raised 6 children in Rutherford where they remained for 62 years and married for 64 years until Bob passed away in 2017. Rose remained in their home in Rutherford.

While raising her family, Rose worked for John Kelly, Esq.for 7 yrs. She also was employed for over 15 years in Admissions and Personnel for FDU. She then worked as an assistant for James Cleary Esq.
She was a member of the Kip Center, Rutherford Catholic Woman’s Club, the Rosary Altar Society, and a Notary Republic of NJ. Rose was an avid reader. She also enjoyed walks all through town and her happiest moments were spent with her family and grandchildren.
Rose will be deeply missed by her devoted children; Robert & wife Lisa, John, James & wife Barbara, Richard, Mary Jean Murphy & husband Wayne, Susan Syvret & Jesse Moore, her 18 wonderful grandchildren; Kenneth, Robert, Elyse, Karol, Tre, Kyra, Logan, Marly, Ryan, Caitlin, Connor, Jillian, John, Meghan, Gavin, Andrew, Caitlin, Owen, her 12 beautiful great-grandchilden; Walker, William, Ava, Kenny, Ariana, Jasmin, Sabreena, Ayden, Indira, Djuna, Mackenzie, August, her great-great-grandchild Alaryk, her 95 yr. old twin brother Rev. John F. Reardon, her brother Walter Reardon & wife Janet and many nieces, nephews & friends.

Family will receive friends on Friday 3-8pm in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford.
Funeral Saturday 8:30am from Funeral Home for 9:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, 91 Home Ave., Rutherford. Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
