Gregory Campion, 57, of Colonia, formerly of Rutherford, passed away suddenly Wednesday, February 13th, 2019. Greg was born in Jersey City to John and Stella Campion. Greg had been employed by Jersey City Auto Body as the Office Manager for 19 years. Greg had a passion for cars, boats, the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Mets. He loved animals, specially his dog Chase and cat Lilly.
He had the best of hearts. He was a simple man and in his simplicity he asked for very little and gave all he had. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Stella Campion. His is survived by his wife, Udissonina Campion, his children, Ianna and Kiev Monferrari, his twin brother Richard Campion and his wife Jill, his four other siblings, John Campion and his wife Geraldine, Joyce Snyder and her husband Russell, Barbara Smit and her husband Gerald and Frank Campion and his wife Maryann. He is also survived by his many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces whom he loved dearly.
Family will receive friends Monday 4-8pm in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home at 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford. Funeral on Tuesday, 9:30am from the funeral home for a 10:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy at Saint Mary's Church in Rutherford, followed by internment in the Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
