Obituary for Alfred L. Stone

Alfred L. Stone 77 lifetime resident of Rutherford, passed away at home on Thursday 11/15/2018. He was born in Hackensack to Alfred S. Stone and Ethel (nee Croker). Alfred was a true Rutherfordian who lived his entire life in Rutherford with his wife Carol of 53 years raising their children.

As a young man, Alfred proudly entered the United States Army National Guard 104th Armed Calvary Regiment. Alfred has been employed by E.I. Dupont managing their warehouse in Clifton for over 23 years. He also worked for Nazdar in South Hackensack as a warehouse manager. Most recently he was a truck driver for Armour Deck in Saddlebrook.
For enjoyment, Al liked to ride his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, fishing, the sport of hunting and hiking. He also was a Nascar fan and a NRA member an animal lover and an avid reader. He had a soft spot in his heart for his cat & pal Ghost.

He loved spending time in Orient Point, LI since childhood.

Alfred will be missed by his devoted wife Carol (nee Hudak), His beloved children Alfred J. Stone & his wife Kristy, Drew S. Stone & wife Diane, grandchildren Drew J. Stone & Sean S. Stone. He is predeceased by his sister Audrey Foehl.

Family will receive friends Saturday 11/24/18 from 12:00 to 3:00pm in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford.
